Well I was a bit busy lately so I haven't updated my blog.
I worked on some new casino sites and banners.

First one was the UK version of www.thegamblingproject.com, www.thegamblingproject.co.uk
and the second one is www.onlinecasinobonusportal.com another online casino site, for this one I also built the CMS

Another site I was working on is: SafetyHacker.com.
This is the kind of sites I love to design. Easy, quick and fun to create.
I designed the site, Safety Seal and build the HTML.

These days I'm working on a new Affiliate Program site that hopefully will be online in the next few days, another online casino review site, some banners sets and another project that still cant say anything about yet ;)

Many web site owners, who just now started to be interested in new web site, don’t know exactly what their website should include. They know they need a website (I agreeJ) but they don’t know exactly what is actually should be in it.
This article will help you to be more focused about your website specs.
First point and a very important one, not EVERYTHING you see online and like, fit to your website. Don’t try to squeeze into one site all technologies, colors and ideas you see at others websites. Choose those that fit best to your needs.
On the other hand it is good to have a clue about the "look and feel" you like and want to see in your website.
If there are colors you prefer, or if there is a website design you really like, it can help to your web designer as long as you keep your mind open.
But the most important thing, before even start the design process, is to have a website brief. If you have an old website and you just want to re-design it, that's easy! You just give the link of your old website to the designer and ask him to re design it.
However, if this is a new website, you must provide your web designer a list of pages, features and what is the main focus of your website.
And at last, trust your designer. If you have found a good designer he will know to tell you the difference between good and bad for your website.

The importance of a landing page

A website provides a general overview on a product or a company. A landing page (or jump page) shows a special offer for a product.
Let’s say you have a casino site and you want to promote a special offer for Christmas. You send an email to your entire subscribers with the details and want them to read more and subscribe to the new offer or download your new product.
If you refer them to your homepage they might not see the special offer you want them to see. The users might browse to other pages and missed your new offer.
Best solution is to refer your users to a landing page customize with you brand’s “look and feel” with a relevant changes. For example; if you have a special offer for casino tournament for man, you might want to use more “manly” images and colors. Like you never advertise a man tournament with pink colors, even if your site main theme is pink, but to connect it to your website’s look and feel you can make the titles and images border with this pink.

So how to create a converting landing page?

Use the brand name in the title. Something like “special offer for xxxx.com users."

Make it short! Not too many words. They need to see the offer in first glance.

Have a link in the bottom of the page for Privacy Policy or terms and Conditions page, or even to both of them

Use cool graphic, images, blinking text. Use targeted languages.

Follow up. Don’t forget to reply your users, learn which LP bring best results, use few LP’s for same promotion.

If you are a designer and have some free time you can find a nice contest to join and to enter your design. Contest holders rate the designs by stars and provide feedbacks.

It’s definitely a cliché but there’s no other way to describe it — 99designs was started by designers for designers.

With a well designed interface and an emphasis on user usability, you can make the difference between a welcoming website and just another "drop in the sea".
Knowing Photoshop and Dreamweaver is not enough to create a good website!

• Start with a pen and paper, sketch your thought.
• Clean interface, with not too many interruptions.
